Hidden Secrets in Data ysis with Excel 2007/2010 - everydayExcel

Stop copy and pasting data from one worksheet to another, just to update your reports week after week, month after month and find out how much time you have been wasted out all these years!

Here’s how you can quickly and easily master the commonly used functions and formulas in Microsoft® Excel guaranteed to generate your ysis and reports without working overtime to crunch those numbers manually throughout the spreadsheets!

Suppose you are spending 12 hours a week (30% of the time) on Excel. You can cut down conservatively 50% of this time spent or 6 hours per week. Based on a monthly income of about $2000, you are going to save $2,182 per annum.

When I worked as a business yst, I was told that my predecessor worked until 8 – 9 pm every night. But when I was on the job, I  knocked off at 6.00 pm sharp almost everyday after 3 months into the job. And I was not taking care of a small sales unit, they were the 2 largest sales units that generated about 50% of the company’s sales. The 2 units turnover was about $50m.

When one of the business ysts working for another business group resigned, I was told to take over the group temporarily. With the added responsibility, I was still able to go home at 6.00 pm. And nobody in the company asked me how I did it because they were just too busy to hear anyone out. I know some of you must be thinking that I started the day early or I brought the work back home to do. The truth is I started work the same time as everybody else and I seldom brought work home to do. And in terms of work quality, it is the same or even better. Because my business group managers are always full of praises for me. Other business group managers know about the good quality work I produced because my business group managers told them. They even showed what I produced to these group managers.

The secret to my efficiency is MS Excel. I know how to make Excel work for me. It was achieved through years of experience solving different problems in Excel for the different departments such as Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Services, etc. I read through all the Excel books that I could laid my hands on. Imagine reading a thick Excel book containing hundred of pages. As I worked on these problems, I began to discover the problems are similar in nature. And some times, it is not caused by Excel but by the way we visualize and handle the data in the spreadsheet. I created the first course (now know as Hidden Secrets in Data ysis with Excel) and taught it to a group of my customers. Needless to say, they seemed to be bestowed with a power previously unknown to them. They worked faster with Excel and were soon enjoying what they could do with it.

I enjoyed the lesson and how my clients beamed with joy and called me to thank me for what I have done for them. The course was not cheap compared to what other Excel courses charged in the market. But it was worth every dollar they paid. They even told me I should increase my price. I charged too cheap for the knowledge that I have imparted to them. I decided to train others and it was satisfying to know that they could work faster than before and have more time for their families.

This course used to be a cl room based course. It was so well received that our participants will refer others to the courses. When somebody from an organisation attended our course, there is a high chance that more staff from the same company will attend the subsequent runs.

In appreciation of their support for my course, I have set up this website and re-produced the lessons into videos for them so that they can go through some of the case studies if they needed a refresher. In each training, I will try my best to provide solutions to problems and answers to questions raised by the participants.

I thought it would be good to let you, who are living overseas, benefit from the course too. You will have access to the same stuff taught in cl . By signing up for the course, you are automatically included in our community where you can ask questions and have them answered by me or one of the members. If you need more practice, you can also help answer some of the questions posed by other members.

Before this course, I would manually edit spreadsheet. Now, I learnt to use Auto-Filter… Go to store
